This afternoon me and my fiance decided to go for a walk to Pegwell Bay and once we got there we decided to see how much further we could go. We ended up in Sandwich. From what I can work out the journey was roughly 6 miles each way so all in all we must have walked 12 miles!!!
Anyway, here are some pictures of the journey. Click on the thumbnails for a larger view.

I really think a good walk can help clear your head and enable you to look at things differently, plus its good exercise. I wonder if it will help my songwriting?

It’s been a while since I really sat down and recorded anything, so today I made a concious effort to do so.
I didn’t really have any new material that I wanted to record and I didn’t want to go back over songs that I’ve already been over frustrated with, so I decided to record a cover song.
I started to think about what songs have really spoken to me recently, but were not already covered by everyone else, and Holding Back by Scott Andrew came to mind.
That song really spoke to me about a year or so ago when I was making some decisions about my life, and it also saved my behind at my first solo show when my set came up short.
Anyway, I went up into my attic studio, plugged everything in and recorded it, just acoustic guitar and vocals. I didn’t spend too long on it so I don’t know if I’m going to let anyone hear it yet? It was more of an ice-breaker kind of thing really. If I get around to re-doing the vocals then some people might hear it?
So, now I’ve started up again and I want to continue so heres to some new music soon…

Well, I had a few problems with my site after I rebuilt it, notably that the comments were not working. I finally got it fixed, the one downside to that is that I lost all my past blog posts.
Ok, in the grand scheme of things its not the end of the world, but you know how it is when you put so much time into something and then it goes wrong. Apparently the problem was caused by an error in my MySQL database?? and when I tried to repair it I lost everything and had to reinstall wordpress.
Anyway, I’m sure that you’re not that interested in that side of my website?
I hope you like the new look though, and the features that I’m constantly working on. It’s a theme that I’ve touched upon before but this time everything is working as it should, this is entirely my own theme too!
You can probably see in the sidebar that I have pretty much all my recent demos on the music player. There are one or two lost songs out there somewhere but I’m more interested in writing nnew songs than trying to hunt down old ones.
Also, on the music page you can download the EP I released last year for free in either flac or mp3 format.
There are other features I would like to add to the site, and hopefully I will, but I really need to focus on writing, recording and playing live for the time being.
Of course I will keep my blog up to date and you can always follow me on Twitter,so you’ll always know what I’m up to.
This coming weekend I want to spend as much time as I can on music, primarily rehearsing but also some writing and recording too. It’s about time I posted some new music.
